Kit 7224 - Beaufighter Mk 1 RAF Desert Schemes

Kit No 72024 is the Bristol Beaufighter Mk 1 in RAF desert schemes. Now that the Hasegawa kit is out, sales of the HPM model will drop off and it will eventually be deleted. Ain't it just a shame that Hasegawa did not get it right. Their kit falls down in many areas, flat sided nose and canopy, totally wrong panel lines where they are, and missing in the case of fuel filler points etc. But then again, it is in grey plastic and it's scribed so it must be great, particularly as it comes from Japan. When I finally get around to building some Beaufighters I will start with the HIGH PLANES MODELS version, as I see it as being less work to achieve an accurate kit than using the Hasegawa thing.
