Kit 7229 - Mustang Mk X

Kit No 72029 is the North American Mustang Mk X. This is the famous Mustang as converted by Rolls Royce in England to trial the Merlin engine. Only five aircraft were converted from P-51As, and they lacked some of the grace of the final production P-51B due to the large undernose radiator. The aircraft were tested by the RAF, and one was issued to the USAAF in Europe for trials also. Decals for two RAF and one USAAF aircraft are included.
